Just so I’m clear; this is the same Louis CK who had an episode of his TV show where he was raped by a woman who physically forced him to give oral or she would break his finger, after hitting him so hard his head broke a car window. No one cared.
Also, in case you didn’t notice, Mr. Szekely, men are the biggest threat to men as well. Or did you not notice who the primary victims of violence have been throughout history? By your logic, men shouldn’t socialize with men, given that they’re at more risk with them than women are. Heck, suicide is more likely than murder.
Also, the vast majority of rapes occur indoors, in the home of the victim or perp, who is generally someone the victim knows. The dude is actually more likely to be assaulted on a date than the woman is, especially since society obliges him to protect the more valuable women. You can argue that it’s because women are “weaker”, but that’s cold comfort to the guy with a switchblade in his ribs.
And the number one cause of death for women in the US is, uh, heart disease.
So, pretty much everything about this is wrong. But, gosh, it plays well with the Internet and reinforces women’s fears and white knights’ belief in their own virtue and the base unworthiness of men. It reinforces the idea that women somehow condescend to men by deigning to date them. That it’s a privilege for men, and a burden for women.
This put me in a really bad fuckin’ mood. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to check tumblr, I’m usually pissed afterwards for it
